Maggie Gallagher is the President of the Institute of Marriage and Public Policy where she works to strengthen marriage for a new generation through research and public education.  Maggie is a nationally syndicated columnist and author of three books on marriage, including her most recent work The Case For Marriage: Why Married People are Happier, Healthier, and Better-Off Financially, co-authored with Linda Waite.

Maggie appears frequently on major TV and radio and lectures at colleges, universities, and law schools.  She has testified as an expert witness on marriage before the U.S. Senate and in various state legislatures.  Her writings on marriage have appeared in The New York Times, The Weekly Standard, and the Wall Street Journal, as well as scholarly journals such as the Louisiana Law Review, and the Notre Dame Journal of Law, Ethics, and Public Policy.

Maggie is a graduate of Yale (class of ’82). She lives with her husband and two children in Westchester, New York.

Hear Maggie describe why married people are happier, healthier, and better-off financially at Restoring The Dream.
